Dinner Key Marina is located on Biscayne Bay in Miami, Florida. The facility has 582 wet slips accessed by seven fixed concrete piers with additional landside dockage. The Marina suffered severe damage from the wind and water surge generated by Hurricane Irma in September 2017. While most of the damage was to the wood finger docks and the electrical and mechanical systems serving them, the concrete piers suffered significant damage as well.

MSL was assigned to assess damages to the Marina, to define a scope of repair work, develop repair/replacement cost values, develop a staged project timetable for reconstruction based on minimizing business interruption, and review contractor bids for scope and betterment. MSL worked with the City of Miami to address temporary safety issues and on-going operations to keep the Marina operational pending repairs. The estimated cost of restoring the Marina to pre-Irma conditions of like kind and quality exceeded $10 million.
